Amir Fathi, MD, MBA, FACS, is a board-certified surgeon and specializes in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery.
Dr. Fathi received his integrated bachelor’s and medical degree from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Tabriz, Iran. He has completed a research clerkship in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Spine Division at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. Subsequently, he attended Case Western Reserve University, where he received his post-doctoral research scholarship prior to his residency. Dr. Fathi has completed his general surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University. He then completed his fellowship in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Fathi is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Fathi has been a faculty member in the Department of Surgery since 2015. In his role as teaching faculty, he educates, supervises, and lectures medical students and residents in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.
Dr. Fathi’s clinical interests include foregut malignancies, tumors of the liver, biliary tree, and pancreas. He also specializes in complex abdominal wall reconstruction and minimally invasive hernia surgery.
He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and the Fresno Madera Medical Society.
