Interventional Pulmonology

The UCSF Fresno Campus and the Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG), dba Inspire Health, are seeking faculty members for the Adult Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Division at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The appointee will provide clinical coverage on the Interventional Pulmonology (IP) service as well as the outpatient pulmonary practice focusing on IP and Lung Nodule Program. The Lung Program at UCSF Fresno is one of the largest programs in the nation focused on early diagnosis and expedited treatment of lung cancer. Candidates may provide coverage on the Medical ICU depending on their interest and level of IP experience. Other duties include teaching, supervision of trainees and clinical research. Faculty appointment with UCSF and compensation will be commensurate with the applicant’s background and accomplishments.

UCSF Fresno has residency programs and fellowships across Internal Medicine including Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program provides care in Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), a 700-bed Level 1 Trauma Center, and has a state-of-the-art endoscopy unit for bronchoscopy with an advanced interventional pulmonary program. The program is located in Fresno, California, a vibrant, growing, but affordable community in the Central California Valley just a short drive from Yosemite and other national parks.

Applicants must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or eligible in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, and also in Interventional Pulmonology. Applicant must be eligible to apply for a California Medical License.

The program is based in Fresno, California, where residents enjoy a high standard of living combined with a lower cost real estate market. Fresno is the only major city in the country with close proximity to three national parks, including renowned Yosemite National Park as well as the Pacific Ocean and major California cities.

Salary: $275,000-$375,000. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.  Actual compensation may be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.  Actual compensation may also vary based on additional services, including call coverage, administrative services, performance bonus, and/or productivity.
