Join the UCSF Fresno Surgery Department, the largest surgical training department in the San Joaquin Valley, and the Intentional Recruitment Coalition (IRC) for the 2024 Health Disparities Summit. This new symposium was created to improve care for certain disadvantaged populations who may be negatively impacted by language barriers, socioeconomic status, cultural divisions, and more. This program will address these gaps in care and guide providers in addressing this challenging topic. This program offers 3.5 hours of CME credit.

- Become aware of the department of public health resources available for children, improving patient outcomes
- Learn and become more aware of pipeline programs for local students to pursue jobs in the healthcare industry, which will provide increased physician numbers in the Central Valley, improving patient outcomes
- Understand the uses of alternative practice models related to increased federal funding, which could improve patient care for lower socioeconomic populations
