As a business person you are well aware of how much drug abuse affects your bottom line. You know the costs of increased insurance premiums, decreased productivity and the loss of morale that comes with drug abuse on the job. This problem also affects your family, your employee’s families and as such our whole community. We at INSPIREHealth.org intend to do something about that and to do so we need your support.
This coming year we want to reach every school aged child in Arizona with a different message about drugs. Unlike existing programs that have emphasized the evils of the substances our aim is to bring a positive message of hope and empowerment that teaches kids more about their potential and gives them the tools to make better choices and make a difference in their school and in their community.
We have set a fundraising goal of $1,000,000 which comes out to just under a dollar for each of the one million plus kids in Arizona schools. This is a small price to pay to reach that many kids and their families but it needs to be done now. Our programs not only aim to raise awareness about drug abuse prevention but also strive to help schools raise the money they need for drug education and prevention on their campus. Every dollar we raise in this fundraising campaign will go to schools as mini-grants so they can stage one of our events and raise the money they need.
We expect that for every dollar we invest in the kids of Arizona they will use our events to raise $10 to $50 that they will use at their school. That means that this year alone the million dollars we raise could well become $50,000,000 all of which will go toward keeping kids off drugs and teaching them how to be even better adults.
